When reading the news, a term which pops up more and more often is “COVID-19 deniers.” We already had the terms “Holocaust denier” and “climate change denier”, now this relatively new term is added to the list of what some would call “deniers of reality.”
I feel the need to give my take on this subject, because words are really powerful, and are often used to manipulate people in a very black and white “right or wrong” perspective. This can go as far as not having to listen to anyone anymore who has been put in the “deniers group.”
Obviously, in the long term this does not serve anyone, because we share a small planet with a lot of people, and we cannot exclude whole groups of people from our society because they have different beliefs about certain things. So what are my beliefs?
About Holocaust Deniers
I certainly believe that the genocide against Jews in the Second World war took place, and I can fully understand that in many countries it is illegal by law to deny that it actually did happen. Besides the Holocaust, the Jews have been victims of many pogroms and other acts of aggression just for being jews, and this HAS to stop.
One thing I have never understood is why some people call it the worst crime against humanity that ever happened. In Mao’s China, a roughly estimated sixty million people died under Mao’s regime, which is ten times the number of the people who died in the Holocaust. And I wonder, why can this be denied unpunished?
About Climate Change Deniers
This I find a tricky one. One the one hand, it is clear that with the way we are treating nature, we are utterly destroying our planet. Extinction of species, depletion of natural resources, deforestation, you name it. We cannot go on like this and expect to survive.
On the other hand, I don’t believe all the data and theories about climate change are correct. I am a big fan of Michael Crichton, and I know that he did serious research on climate change and found some flaws in these theories. Climate change is a political arena too.
As a result of not agreeing with the “moral majority” about climate change, he was heavily attacked. Crichton was met with a barrage of attacks and distortions from leftists and radical environmentalists. But was this intelligent man really wrong? I am not sure.
About COVID-19 Deniers
There is a range of beliefs in this category. There are people who believe that COVID-19 does not exist as a virus, because it is never isolated. And there are people who believe that the seasonal flu of 2020 is called COVID-19.
There are also those who believe COVID-19 is a flu-like disease, which is a medical problem, but not as harmful as many think. A disease which mainly threatens the old and frail, just like flu outbreaks, and something we should pay attention to, but not an enormous disastrous problem.
This is where I fit in. I believe we should take the COVID-19 outbreak seriously, while at the same time not buy into all the fear mongering. The COVID-19 outbreak is not the worst thing happening to humanity since World War Two. If these beliefs make me a COVID-19 denier, so be it.
About Great Reset Deniers
I believe that we should add another type of deniers to this list. “Great Reset deniers.” A term to be used to describe people who believe that the current, worldwide response to the COVID-19 outbreak is normal and not out of proportion, and not financially or politically motivated.
Do you believe that when a flu-like disease with an IFR of 0,26 or even lower breaks out, this should be a reason for worldwide lockdowns, social distancing, wearing masks, martial law, evening clocks, and the limiting of freedom of speech about all subjects related to this outbreak?
If you do, I think you are a “Great Reset denier.” The Great Reset is happening. It is even announced by the World Economic Forum in a very clear way. The current COVID-19 outbreak is used by the participants of this forum as an excuse to change the world as we know it, in a very profound way.
“The pandemic represents a rare but narrow window of opportunity to reflect, reimagine, and reset our world” – Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman, World Economic Forum. Many of the most powerful people in the world listen to Klaus.
The Great Reset is happening currently, and it will unfold completely unless we stop it. Do you really want this elitist group to change the whole world in an undemocratic way, using the COVID-19 outbreak as an excuse? Give me a break!
If you don’t want this to happen, you need to get well informed. Study “the Great Reset.” Do your own research, check out alternative media news. Don’t follow anyone blindly, but become knowledgeable about this subject, because it concerns us all.
