New Ebook – Fifteen Free and Effective Tools for Maintaining Online Privacy

Besides writing for the blog, I am planning to write one short ebook each month, to generate income and to offer a service to those who don’t read my blog. I am proud and happy to announce that I have written my second Ebook.

This ebook is about online privacy. How do you maintain online privacy, in a time when data mining by Big Tech and systematic monitoring by all kinds of government agencies is increasing? I am grateful that there are free tools for that.

Privacy is a basic human right. Article 12 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states: “No one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to attacks upon his honor and reputation. Everyone has the right to the protection of the law against such interference or attacks.”

Privacy is therefore not something that you have to plead for, either with governments, with Big Tech companies, or with anyone else. It is an inalienable right that is yours from the cradle to the grave. And this is not only true for our “offline privacy,” our “online privacy” is also protected by law, by international treaties, and by local laws as well.

That being said, we have learned in recent years that both governments and Big Corp do not really respect our privacy. Besides the governments who spy on their own citizens, even without the right to do so, we are confronted with big companies who collect more and more data online about us.

Therefore, even though we are entitled to offline and online privacy, we cannot take it for granted that this will be given to us. This sad fact means that we have to claim this right and protect is. Claim the right to online privacy by understanding the potential threats of being online, and avoiding these threats by using common sense and the right tools.

This ebook will certainly give you the means to experience much more online privacy than you are used to, and it includes tools that even give you 100% anonymity online. Do not use these tools to break the law, but only to adhere to the law that guarantees your privacy.
